Polyphenol

If an organic molecule has a hydroxyl group directly connected to the benzene ring, the substance is classified as a Phenol. If an organic substance has more than one phenolic hydroxyl group, the substance can be called a polyphenol. Each phenolic hydroxyl group is reducing, so the more phenolic hydroxyl groups, the more sites of the polyphenols can be oxidized, and the stronger the ability to scavengers oxygen free radicals. So the concept of polyphenols is actually quite broad. Polyphenols are widely present in a variety of vegetables and fruits.

Proanthocyanidin

Procyanidins, or procyanidins, procyanidins, or procyanidins, are polyphenols, but not flavonoids. It can be regarded as the connection of more than two catechins/epicatechin as basic units. The main mode of connection is a covalent bond between carbon atoms 8 and 4. That is, proanthocyanidins are aggregates of flavonoids. If it consists of 2-5 flavonoids, it is called oligomeric proanthocyanidins. If the constituent units are more than five, they are called oligomeric proanthocyanidins.Apple polyphenols have a good scavenging effect on superoxide anion, hydroxyl free radicals and organic free radicals, so as to reduce cell damage, delay aging and prolong life.

Apple polyphenols from APPCHEM(BON) have a good scavenging effect on superoxide anion, hydroxyl free radicals and organic free radicals, so as to reduce cell damage, delay aging and prolong life. Additionally, proanthocyanidins contained in apple polyphenols can significantly inhibit tyrosinase activity and melanin formation, and play a role in skin whitening.
